Keith Gjebre, DMD, has been serving the dental needs of children in Westmoreland County and surrounding areas since 1986. He is a native of Greensburg, where he lives with his family.

Dr. Gjebre is a Pediatric Dentist, a specialty requiring not only a four-year dental school curriculum but an additional 2-3 years of rigorous training in the dental needs of young people. Pediatric dentists are trained to meet the needs of infants, children, and adolescents, including those with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities.

Dr. Gjebre gained his expertise at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He is on staff at Children’s Hospital.

His staff has been with him for many years. Together, they make Dr. Gjebre’s a unique, professional practice that will give your children the safe and comfortable environment you want for their dental visits.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD)

Keith Gjebre, DMD is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).

A non-profit organization founded in 1947, the AAPD is the recognized authority on children’s oral health and advocates for the best in pediatric dental care for all children, including those with special health care needs.

Today, The AAPD is the leader in representing the oral health interests of children and

🏀 Educates and informs policymakers, parents and guardians, and other healthcare professionals

🏀 Fosters research and provides continuing professional education for pediatric dentists and general dentists who treat children.

The 8,400 members of the AAPD also serve as contributors to professional education programs and scholarly works concerning dental care for children. The Academy emphasizes a three-part approach to dental care for children, from infants to adolescents:

🏀 Education: teaching children and families how to maintain good oral health

🏀 Research: working to develop improved methods of preventing oral problems
